DemandBridge is excited to report some of the many developments we have been working on this past quarter, related to product enhancements and new integrations. We strive to provide constant improvements to products, services, and customer support.
In this last quarterly review for 2024, we’ll feature the following highlights:
- NEW DB Sourcing Customer Collaboration Feature: DB Sourcing users may now make attachments and links visible to customers within the context of a project.
- Announcing cXML PunchOut from DB Commerce: The cXML PunchOut workflow is a standardized approach that allows a user to originate at one portal and shop from integrated partners and bring items back into a singular cart/checkout.
Streamline Collaboration: Share Project Attachments Directly with Customers in DB Sourcing
Collaborating with customers is easier than ever before! In an attempt to further streamline communication and reduce the need for external touchpoints, DB Sourcing users may now make attachments and links visible to customers within the context of a project. By default, attachments will not be visible to customers, but the audience may be updated to include customers, suppliers, a combination of both, or neither (internal). Links to download these attachments will appear on customer proposal emails notifications, as well as the proposal acceptance page, and the Request detail view within the Client user interface. Announcing cXML PunchOut from DB Commerce
The cXML PunchOut workflow is a standardized approach that allows a user to originate at one portal and shop from integrated partners and bring items back into a singular cart/checkout. DB Commerce has supported this for many years where we were a partner that users could punchout to from sites like Coupa or Ariba. We have recently added support for the reverse, where users shop within DB Commerce for our native items, and may also see one or more catalogs configured to PunchOut to a third party site.
The pilot use case is with Office Depot for office supply type items, and these items end up in the DB/c shopping cart alongside inventory, promo, or custom items. This simplified approach does not require any maintenance of item data, rather the shopping occurs on the partner site. The administrator simply configures the catalog on DB Commerce.
This integration is accessible from our responsive interface and supports the cXML standard exchanges:
- PunchOutSetupRequest, PunchOutOrderMessage, OrderRequest
Upon checkout, DB Commerce sends the order request to the partner for fulfillment. Thereafter, the order/lines items are sent to the back office as usual, with punchout line items indicated as such.
